I am done completely with Creative, Give us decent drivers for our already paid products or let someone elso do it without shutting him down. I am a customer since the AWE32 but the X-Fi will be the absolute last. Even if future products are exellend in hardware or software i will never buy Creative again. Bunch of losers!! Having used SoundBlaster cards since the original SoundBlaster 8 bit card I was a diehard creativelabs fan until vista. I struggled with creativelabs vista drivers for my Audigy 2 soundcard in both 32bit and 64bit installs of vista and finally resorted to onboard sound. Thanks to Daniel_K's drivers I was able to use my card once again. Happy and quiet I stayed until I saw this on Digg. I want Creative Labs to know that this treatment of their customers and community will not be tolerated by me. Short of a complete turn around on multiple levels, the firing of Phil O'Shaughnessy and the hiring of Daniel_K I will never consider buying another creative labs product again. Creative Labs is a perfect example of how not to treat customers and will now be a case study in customer relations failures. In protest I will going back to my onboard sound. Cheers to you Daniel_K!!!!! Many thanks for your hard work delivering what greed and incompetence at CreativeLabs could not.

I agree that Creative has every right to defend their IP and request that people not profit off of their work; however, what a terrible response to someone trying to improve support! What is going to get you more profit: having bad drivers, or opening your product up to be used by more people? Adapt and learn to benefit from new technology or be replaced. I have owned multiple Creative sound cards and often help friends and family build their computer, I will be very much hesitant to recommend your products now that I know what the official stance on community development is. Shameful.

well, at least there is the C-Media Oxygen chip. I was about the upgrade from my Audigy 2ZS to an Xtremegamer. I'm glad this came out before I laid my cash now, otherwise I would of felt all dirty about it =P Very poor of you Creative to continue your long line off dirty tactics. I'm glad there are so many audio chipsets, especially the Oxygen chip, no more EAX in Vista anyway that we are no longer forced to buy your dirty products.
