Remember the Adlib sound card? Yeah, I replaced that with the first Soundblaster in my 286. I've been a customer for that long. No more. I thought that it would be obvious that you should just take the hit and let a kid help fix your products. I guess not. Message Edited by creativebmn on 03-29-2008 11:41 PM

Someone please hack their site, they are douchebags. Please put up a fake press release about this. Anyone got a sticker design for Creative Products yet?

Creative has been a horrible company from the beginning. The ONLY half-ass decent card they have EVER released was the AWE64. There hasn't been a card from them since that can match it in terms of stability in DOS, Windows and everything in-between. I was shown this thread by a friend and I laughed my ass off at how incredibly stupid creative is. They have someone fixing THEIR drivers for them at the cost of only donations (while they reap the profits on the hardware) and they moan about how someone stole / hacked their garbage drivers? Any company with a brain bigger than a peon can realize the benefits of having someone like him around, but apparently the collective of creatives brain processing output is < grain of sand. I bought an Audigy Gamer and the 5.1 surround sound speakers that were SPECIFICALLY designed for the card a few years back and needless to say, the audigy never supported them. The sound would be glitching, ground hums and other annoying buzzing and popping. I finally ripped the card out of my system to find that the onboard REALTEK sound was superior to your trash. I'm glad I haven't wasted money on your garbage products since then because it looks like I saved myself a ton of trouble. +10 for the Chinese, -10,000 for you. Creative is definitely going to sink from this; in the short time this thread has existed, it has grown to over 60 pages and has been spread all over the world. Good luck trying to cover that up. You shot yourselves in the foot.

I just registered on here to let Creative Labs know that I haven't purchased one of their cards for years, and I never plan to again. I am also in charge of purchasing for a school. We have over 400 Dell PCs to be upgraded this year. Since CL made it obvious they aren't friendly to the community I am making sure the upgrades do not carry and CL hardware or software.

Above and beyond all the rants I've seen on here, I can't believe that a vice-president of corporate communications would publish such a letter to his company's biggest supporter in a public forum. Seriously, I'd like to know what kind of reasoning went on when this decision was made. I'm guessing that Phil will be an ex-VP by the time the rest of the Creative Labs "management" team see this sh*tstorm on Monday.
