What's next.. you going to stomp around the house like an aggravated 4 year old girl who isn't getting her way? That's the problem with big corporations now a days; they're more interested in their and their stock holders pockets then their customers. When you build a product that supports features in the hardware that are not supported in the software you're ignorant if you think someone's not going to exploit it. Maybe you shouldn't put those features in the card? Maybe? And the insignificant amount of cash this guy might be making to support his hobby isn't anything near what you toss away in office coffee filters in any given day. What do you care? Are you a bit embarrassed that someone thought of it before you? Or are you just kissing Microsoft's ass like everyone else?

I used to think Creative Labs was one of the more reputable companies in the computer industry. Now I see that you're only care is profits. I've purchased my last Creative soundcard thanks to this forum post.

I don't feel sorry for them at all after they screwed me many years ago, and I submitted this story to as many news sources as I could find. I guess Creative has a PR mess on their hands now. - I didn't see THAT coming at all, and clearly the "VP of Corporate Communications" didn't either!!

Creative, thanks for the entertainment tonight, I can't wait to see the stock on Monday morning! Just think, 24 hours for the bad taste to get into investor's mouths, and news agencies to run the story before the markets open... Rethinking the decision? Too late now, tell your "VP of Corporate Communications" and your legal team to get into the unemployment line.

The bottom line is this. Because of his driver mods we have been able to use our cards in Vista the way Creative promised that they could be used. Creative repeated failed to deliver working drivers for the x-fi series and vista time and time again all the while advertising that their product was vista compatible. The current creative drivers are still having issues with vista and x-fi cards. I have had no issues with the modded drivers. If you are going to give a cease and desist order to a modder, why don't you fix your product first. I have used creative sound cards for a long time now. My experience with the x-fi has been so terrible that I have goine back to an audigy 4 that I have. I hope the creative engineers are spending as much time trying to fix problems with the drivers as their suits are on selecting modders to put out of picture.

And the fact that the thread hasn't been closed or removed is even more entertaining.
