Thanks for clearing this up. That attitude is exactly what will influence my business decision and that of many others: not to do business with you any more and to recommend to my friends and business partners to not do business with you either. I am thankful to Daniel_K for his help and thankful to you to help me make my decision and put your products where I should have put them some time ago: the trash. Thank you and good day.

I like everybody else have only come here & registered to Laugh in the face of Creative & ALL there Products. Never again will a buy/promote or recommend a single item you sell. Your attitude Disgusts me & being Very active on a number of tech sites will make sure everybody gets to read your original post. Of course i am an Adult & understand the need to protect ones products but your attitude to this is Shocking & shows just how little you think about your customers. Your Company is Dead in the water as far as i am concerned & the quicker the rest of the wrold realises this the better.

I'm another in the long line of unhappy Creative customers who feels ripped off after purchasing a product that does not function like it claims to. This is not a Daniel_k problem, this is a Creative management problem. Creative's managerial incompetence is the cause of these faulty drivers, not the programmers. When a product flubs as badly as yours have, you don't blame the programmer who worked on a small part of the project, you blame the project manager for not properly managing the project. If your product is so poorly developed that your customers are having to band together and hack up fixes, you are in far more trouble than you realize. Unfortunately it's going to require a little bad publicity in the MSM and a jolt in your stock price to wake you up.

I came here to post one thing and one thing only: no one cares about your intellectual "property". If people are downloading things from him, then he is fulfilling a need that people have. Saying that you wont do the same because of a "business decision" reeks of the same corporate greed that is found all to often today. No one is saying you shouldnt get paid, but come on... helping people out with a driver isnt even close to stealing from you. head down to your local general district court if you want to see what REAL theft is actually like. As many people who replied to this topic, I just registered to post my regrets to Creative's desiscion. I've bought many products in the past, but will not do in the future. It's not that I don't understand the reason why you did it. But how you did it was wrong. You as a company should understand that there are many customers left unhappy with your support on Vista drivers. Then at least what you should have considered to do is to work with him to make your drivers better. By banning his drivers and forcing users to use the Creative drivers you will make many unhappy. And don't forget, the best way of advertising is by recommending a product. One thing I wont do untill I see a better way of handling this problem. Regards, Eric Lembregts

This is the end of the era of Customer Service telling us NO.. And laughing as we hang up the phone, (or delete our posts). As the TRUE POWER of the internet will show its face, as in todays world the offended can contact thousands of people within seconds, and billions within the hour.. Turning a Top of the line company into Rubble VIRTUALLY over night.. Creative must rethink its motives here, or they will follow AOL.. The first issue would be QUOTE "Creative and its technology partners think it is only fair to be compensated for goods and services." QUOTE.. HELLO THE DRIVERS ARE FREE.. Unless they have decided to start charging for the broken Vista drivers.. Are they not getting the profits from the ads? Then Creative should employ this Daniel_K, as he obviously knows more about programming then the HIGH PAID, techs at Creative,, (It was probably one of those high paid techs that got in trouble for not doing his/her job, that came to this forum and Banned Daniel_K..).. Creative, Your eather with us or against us, And personally its probably a lot easier to get with us, as All we care about is the product working to the best potential of the product.. Give him a job, Sign some kind of contract with him, have him agree to only post on your AD site or whatever it may be that you needed him to do in order for you to be compensated for goods and services.. Creative and Dale_CL, This was a very bad decision. I wont be buying any more Creative Sound Cards I wont be putting them in any more systems I build. I wont be recommending them to any one I know.
