Hmm.. Good job creative, selling hardware to us which is "VISTA READY!" but in fact lacks a lot of promised features on said OS... Then threatens to sue anyone who makes these cards work like they should. I think creative should be sued for selling us a product which doesnt deliver its promises. Ill be joining the people not even buying your bull**bleep** hardware again, and ill be giving the same message to other people whenever I can . If you think you can just **bleep** with your consumers your going to be amazed. CREATIVE, I hope you choke on ur own **bleep**.. Dont even have enough balls to reply... **bleep**ers

This really pisses me off, I've used Creative Labs products since the 386 days with my SoundBlaster ISA card with the volume control on the back and Dr Sbaitso for dos. I don't even run the oh-so-crappy vista os, but ignoring your customers like this and ignoring the progression of technology is a BIG mistake. Never going to buy a creative product again. What next? Persuing the Linux Kernel developers for releasing reverse engineered sound blaster drivers because you jackasses are too stuck up to release open source drivers?
Sales and profit does not equal happy customers. Dale-CL... die in a fire.

To Whom it May Concern: While it is not our place to condemn the decisions of Creative regarding this issue, our customers come first. That being said, it has come to our attention that many of our customers are not happy with the products Creative has released nor the support for those products. While it is not normally in our best interest to publically comment in a manufacturer's forum, the overwhelming concensus has left us little choice. I own a Mac now so I have no need for my old Audigy Gamer card that hasn't had driver support in 6 years, since they switched to the Audigy 2 and left original Audigy owners out in the cold. Proud to say that I used HACKED Audigy 2 drivers on the card, since Creative was obviously not interested in supporting its customers. I have a set of Cambridge Megaworks 5.1 speakers from a few years back. Since they're owned by Creative, I am going to go buy a set of Logitech x5500's and put the Megaworks speakers on Craigslist, effectively eliminating my household of ANYTHING Creative. I have also signed the online Boycott Creative petition and Digg'd it too, so other people will have a chance to see it. Just another who has registered to say creative have lost the plot. I am middle management in a large Australian company, coincidently I buy all of our computers and components. Add my 850 computers to the list of "never again" as I think that if creative were consumer focused they would make the drivers freely available for anybody. I wont be forced into an upgrade just for your bottom line. Reminds me of a movie I watched recently with one of my kids, Robots, good flick with a moral. PS; I would like to give daniel a few bucks now as i have used his drivers at home, but never donated. Post the details Daniel.

This is unbelievable I just signed up to add my 2 cents. I too have been a dedicated fan of Creative even own a zen. NOT ANY MORE, I was also looking at the new Fata1ty brand card for my new pc !!!!!!I WILL NEVER BUY A CREATIVE PRODUCT AGAIN!!!! and will warn other not to support the piss poor excuse of a company. This is the problem with VISTA not being so popular people dont want to buy it since there arent many drivers out for it and companies such as CREATIVE POS, dont want to make compatible drivers so its a constant loop. Then its people like Daniel_K and many other pioneers of the computer age that take it upon themselves to make things better and are then threatened and punished for helping out. You know what CREATIVE ill send my money to Daniel_K next time I want a sound card just so none of my money gets into your hands. CREATIVE YOU SUCK AND YOU HAVEN'T EVEN REALIZED WHAT A MISTAKE YOUR VP HAS JUST DONE, THAT A**HOLE SHOULD BE SH*T CANNED!!!!!

I have filed a complaint with my State AG. I encourage everyone to do the same. Anyone here a lawyer? How about helping everyone file a class-action lawsuit? Creative is in violation of several consumer-protection laws, and should be FINED HEAVILY by the Federal Trade Commision. That said, naturally I will always encourage people to NEVER use Creative products. And one more thing....EVERYONE PLEASE CONTINUE TO SPREAD DANIEL_Ks DRIVERS. He was kind enough to actually do something Creative intentionally failed to do: TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS IN AN ETHICAL FASHION. Your customers only wanted products that worked as advertised, yet you intentionally failed to provide them. **CK OFF, CREATIVE! Not only are you incompetent idiots, you are also criminals. I will NEVER do business with criminals. By the way, I found this on Neowin.com. I am going to spread this story even further lol. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!

It seems that Creative starts to have big problems. This has been taken from anandtech forums.
To Whom it May Concern: While it is not our place to condemn the decisions of Creative regarding this issue, our customers come first. That being said, it has come to our attention that many of our customers are not happy with the products Creative has released nor the support for those products. To wit, we have processed nearly 5,000 return orders within the past 48 hours. While it is not normally in our best interest to publically comment in a manufacturer's forum, the overwhelming concensus has left us little choice. As such, effective tommorow morning newegg.com will suspend sales of the sound cards in question, particularly those indicated as "Vista compatible", pending an investigation into the matter. Those of you whom recently ordered such a card will still recieve your product as indicated in any relevant conversations. While we regret this abrupt decision, it has been deemed neccessary to protect the interest of our consumers. We welcome contact from Creative as soon as is possible so that we may resolve this issue.
